To commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the Coordinating Ministry of Islamic Affairs of BEM USU, in collaboration with various Islamic organizations at Universitas Sumatera Utara, held the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW Commemoration with the theme “Unending Devotion: Is the Prophet Still Our Priority?” The event took place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business USU, starting from 9:00 AM until completion.
This year’s commemoration featured two distinguished speakers:
- Syekh Adli Jaber, an Islamic scholar from Madinah, the younger brother of the late Syekh Ali Jaber, a certified Qur’an memorizer (hafiz), imam, and international preacher.
- Ustadz Cinta Restu Sugiharto, a national preacher, speaker of Kajian Cinta on national television, and caretaker of Ma’had Love Tahfidz Daarul Fathan.
The event aimed to rekindle the love of Muslims toward the Prophet, revive his exemplary values in daily life, and encourage students to adopt his teachings as moral guidance amid modern challenges.
Through this commemoration, participants were invited to see Maulid not merely as a ceremonial event but as a meaningful moment to strengthen faith, deepen understanding of Islamic teachings, and foster unity among Muslim students on campus.
The event was conducted solemnly and warmly, accompanied by shalawat recitations and reflections on the meaning of love for the Prophet. With this spirit, BEM USU remains committed to organizing religious programs that nurture Islamic character, noble morality, and the pursuit of blessed knowledge and life.
