On Thursday, October 9, 2025, BEM USU, through its BEM Bersama program, held a visit and open discussion with BEM Connect of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) USU. The activity served as both a networking platform and a student forum to discuss various issues and dynamics currently faced within the faculty.
The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of warmth and openness, addressed several key concerns, including difficulties in obtaining permits for campus space usage, commercialization of university facilities, and restrictions on independent internship opportunities that hinder student development.
Through this event, BEM USU sought to create a constructive dialogue platform where every student’s voice can be expressed thoroughly and directed toward meaningful change. The collected aspirations will serve as the foundation for joint evaluation and advocacy to realize a more inclusive, transparent, and student-centered campus system.
The synergy between BEM USU and BEM Connect FEB USU is expected to be the first step toward student-oriented change. With collaborative spirit and shared commitment, both parties are determined to continue advocating for student rights and needs through solution-based and participatory approaches, aiming to create a fairer, more progressive, and empowering academic environment.
