In the spirit of strengthening inter-university student collaboration, the Student Executive Board of Universitas Sumatera Utara (BEM USU) and the Student Executive Board of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (BEM UNSOED) held an Inter-Institutional Collaboration Visit on October 12, 2025, through the Zoom Meeting platform from 7:00 PM until completion.
This activity marked a concrete step for both organizations to strengthen relations and build positive synergy among students across universities. Through this forum, both BEMs are committed to exchanging ideas, expanding networks, and developing collaborative programs that can bring meaningful impact to society.
USU Student President Muzammil Ihsan and UNSOED Student President Muhammad Hafidz Baihaqi directly led the session, which was attended by several executives from both organizations. In addition to introducing each institution’s programs, the forum also served as an open dialogue space to discuss challenges and opportunities for collaboration between BEMs at the national level.
During the discussion, both parties highlighted the importance of students’ roles as agents of change who contribute to national development. Inter-university collaboration is expected to generate strategic initiatives in the fields of education, social empowerment, and community development, in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
Through this activity, BEM USU and BEM UNSOED reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cross-campus synergy and establishing sustainable institutional relations. This initiative is expected to serve as a foundation for a more solid, progressive, and nation-oriented student movement in Indonesia.
